Lisseth

Stacey has a bible student that she's really enjoying.  Her name is Lisseth. She studied years ago in another town and progressed to the point of becoming an upbaptized publisher.  But she just stopped progressing and coming to the meetings.  She's been studying here in Santa Cruz for 5 months now and she's making nice progress.  She comes to all the mtgs and is now an unbaptized publisher.  She's really working hard to become a good publisher.  She has her presentations written and a notebook and practices them before going to bed.  She got her 1st 2 rv's the last week of February.  We did the rv's today and she did sooo good.  Had her question, answer with a Bible text, and her pending question for the next visit.  She's a pioneer in the making. She's so cute.  And you can just eat her baby up.  Here is a picture of her & the baby, her 1st day out in service last month.  Standing next to Lisseth is a sister who is a need greater serving 30 minutes away that came out and hung out in Santa Cruz for 2 days

Assembly Hall Maintenance

Our congregation was assigned to do maintenance and repairs on our assembly hall.  A group of 20 from our congregation volunteered.  There were several other congregations there.  Everyone was happy to help despite it being close to 100 degrees.  There was such a loving and appreciative spirit amongst the brothers.  Notice that the assembly hall is open air.  No walls, no fans.  We even had the monkeys greeting us from the trees. They like to do that sometimes during the assembly programs too. : )

Kathy & Diana's visit Jan 2011 - Rincon de La Vieja

They were the perfect guests.  It was so nice having them.  We were so sad when they left.  We went to the following beaches:  Langosta, Avellana, and Samara.  We also went to Rincon de la Vieja.  It's a little dude ranch that has horseback riding, ziplining, and rafting.  It was lots of fun until Kathy & Stacey almost drowned.  But we're only going to show you the highpoints of their trip.  Enjoy!
Getting our rafting instructions and we're all suited up

Kathy probably praying. LOL!
Stacey - 1st and last time doing this!

more service

River that we cross to get to studies in Esquipulas.  By summer it will be completely dry.
Elena Flores and a young brother named Casel.  Elena just quit her job that had her working 6 days a week.  She wanted to give more to Jehovah.  She has such a peace about her and is completely trusting in Jehovah.  She has a pioneer spirit.
Eli's study Isabela.  She realizes that what she is learning from the Jehovah's Witnesses is the truth.  Hopefully she will have the courage and motivation to come to a meeting.
