Stacey's narration of "We dun been to the mountaintop"

The adventures of Stacey & Eli!  I tell you.  The friends took us city slickers to unusually high mountain on Sunday.  It was a nice 40 minute ride.  But then we just started going up, up, and up windy, dusty roads.  All I could see were mountains.  Oh and they did stop twice to point out the monkeys in the trees.  So now I'm wondering what did we get ourselves into.  The brother said he had a ranch. So I'm thinking horses, hee haw, etc.  He just meant that he had some land where he sows beans, culantro, some root vegetables, etc.  It was cool.  Different.  The men went looking for wood to start a fire.  You know Eli was like, "What?"  I was just glad that they were recruiting the men for all this stuff.  Then the brother rounded up all the men and said come with me.  Didn't tell anyone for what.  By the time I saw them again, they were little ants across the other side of the mountain.  When they got close by again.  I saw my husband walking with a staff that looked like it belonged to Moses and a another brother was on all fours trying to crawl back to the campsite.  LOL!!!!  They wanted to kill that brother!  He took them to gather his beans.  Harvesting!!! They walked far and over hills.  Eli was like day over.  Their shirts were soak & wet.  No one was talking to that brother for a bit.  LOL!  Eli was telling me in my ear.  I ain't never coming back up here again. LOL!  They made sausages, meat, coffee and some kind of sweet dessert out of pumpkin over a campfire.  I was o.k. until it got dark.  I'm thinking o.k. we need to head back because it's pitch black, there are no street lights, and the roads are all dirt, narrow, and this a mountain.  Everyone was like the night just began.  I'm thinking lions and tigers and bears...oh my!  What about those monkeys we saw.  It was freezing up that mountain too.  But I didn't want to complain about that with all the heat we deal with during the day.  I finally had to ask at 8pm what time are we leaving. So they started packing it up.  We were all snug in the car when the little brother sitting in the seat behind me said, "Look at that dog!"  You know I got nervous because my window was down.  So when I turned to look out my window, a big black bug flew in my face.  All I saw was black and of course I was thinking of the dog.  So I let out a big scream and sister next to me began to scream.  The brother slammed on his breaks.  Needless to say I scared everyone.  We had a good laugh afterwards.  So they really got a taste of nervous Stacey.    They get a kick out of the fact that I'm scared of everything.  It wasn't that bad coming home down the roads.  But I kept saying, "Jehovah if a monkey jumps on top of this car, we're going over the side of the road, because I'm going to light this car up."  My nerves were shot.  LOL!  Eli was so tired and worn out from his hike, he refused to get up early morning the next day.  He said he didn't want to even see beans. LOL!

Attached are photos of the trip.  There´s one I love! There was a blue ray of light in the sky as the sun set.  Then it became 2 rays, then 3.  Just beautiful!  I took these photos with my camera phone. So they may not be that clear.
